I have to do a comic strip at least 5 pieces. Where I can download a program I can use for this FREE? please help!

Can anyone recommend or give me a link data Comics creator free software?
I need a software that allows digitize the images drawn.
Inkscape is … simple and very effective but suggest Gimp for the type of graphic. I do not think there exactly a free program to make comics but only lineart and use frames to create a page and color, or screentone, or etc.
